Dr. Jared Gerston, DC, NKT, ART
“As a chiropractor and the owner of Restore, my goal is to provide the best care possible to my patients. For those in pain, my aim is to help you heal as fast as possible, and to get you back to enjoying what you love to do, pain free. I use orthopaedic tests, functional movement analysis, and a novel method of manual muscle testing, called Neurokinetic Therapy® (NKT), to identify and correct imbalances and compensation patterns. Rather than just treating pain (a symptom) we go after the cause of the pain to create quick and lasting results. For those who are not in pain, correcting these compensations and imbalances will lead to more efficient movement and stabilization strategies, and can help to improve performance and posture. I see the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership, where I help to facilitate your healing by providing expertise, insight and treatment, and you provide the dedication and work to make that change happen. Personalized corrective exercise plans are assigned to all of my patients.
I am the only certified advanced (Level 3) NKT® chiropractor in Ottawa. These techniques can be used to treat scars, the muscles that control eye movement (often implicated in head injuries), the ligaments of the pelvis, pelvic floor muscles, the jaw, as well as more common muscle to muscle compensations. I am full body Active Release Techniques (ART®) certified, a certified acupuncture provider, Graston® practitioner, Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Professional, and Anatomy in Motion (AiM) provider.
I look forward to working with you to achieve your health goals, whatever they may be!”

Justine Gapihan - Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Justine studied osteopathy in France and worked in private practice there before relocating to Canada in 2016.
Her interest in osteopathy started early. As a child her parents took advantage of osteopathic treatments when needed. She felt the benefits of osteopathy and it gave her the wish to become an osteopath too.
She has studied many techniques including structural, muscle energy, functional, fascial, craniosacral therapy and Jones counterstrain techniques. For her dissertation at osteopathic school she chose to research and write about the the benefits of collaboration between an osteopath and orthodontist for children who have a deficit in growth of the upper maxillary bone. She has worked in radiology, in a hospital setting and osteopathic practices.
Justine's practical experience with clients ranges from babies to the elderly, people with physcial disabilities and athletes. She also has experience working in the workplace offering workshops in movement and posture.
She has a keen interest in sports and this led to her working part time with another osteopath taking care of basketball players. A period working with an osteopath specialising in pediatrics allowed her a better understanding of the care of children in osteopathy, and the true role of the osteopath when working with general practitioners.
These diverse experiences have allowed her to enrich her training and to develop her skills as an osteopath.
Outside of her work Justine loves sports, and she considers physical activity to be her therapy.
Travel and visiting new countries with their diverse cultures has always inspired Justine and she has spent time in China, Maghreb, Europe and Canada. She found herself falling in love with Canada - its hospitality, open-mindedness, way of life, diversity of landscapes... and even the weather. She likes to spend time with family and friends, hiking, cooking and sharing good food.
She is excited about moving to Ottawa and, in particular, the opportunity to work in collaboration with a diverse group of health professionals. She sees it as a chance to continue to learn and to make a difference to her patients' health.
